Howard Dick

Howard Dick is an Indonesia specialist and, in retirement, Honorary Professorial Fellow in the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Melbourne. His books and many chapters and journal articles have focused on economic and business history, urbanisation, and governance in Southeast Asia. For ten years he was Southeast Asia Publications Editor for the Asian Studies Association of Australia. He has a side interest in maritime history and co-authored six books on various shipping companies of Australia and China.
