Bronwyn Fredericks
Bronwyn Fredericks is a Professor and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Engagement) at The University of Queensland (UQ), a lead in the ARC Centre of Excellence for Indigenous Futures, and an affiliate with the UQ Poche Centre for Indigenous Health. She was the Presiding Commissioner with the Queensland Productivity Commission to lead the Inquiry into service delivery in Queensland’s remote and discrete Indigenous communities (2017) and was one of two commissioners working on the Inquiry into Imprisonment and Recidivism in Queensland (2019), and involved in other key inquiries, and reviews. Bronwyn has worked for both state and federal levels of government and has a long history of work as an educator, and researchers, along with direct hands-on involvement in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-based organisations and broader community organisations spanning over thirty years.
