Rachel Buchanan

Rachel Buchanan was the recipient of the ABR Sidney Myer Fund Fellowship. Dr Buchanan, an historian and journalist, is the author of The Parihaka Album: Lest We Forget (2009), which was named after an archival object at the Alexander Turnbull Library, Wellington. An honorary research fellow in the School of Historical and European Studies, La Trobe University, she is developing a new project, tentatively called ‘The Outsiders’, which will explore archives that contain the personal papers of marginalised individuals or communities in Australia and New Zealand.
