As the author of Rock Chicks: The hottest female rockers from the 1960s to now (2011), I was excited to plunge back into the world of rock and roll to review the Linda McCartney retrospective that is currently showing at the Art Gallery of Ballarat. I’ve also written about Paul McCartney and John Lennon, so am quite familiar with these lads from Liverpool.

  • I saw this exhibition in Glasgow in September 2019. It is certainly more than rock star snaps. Very thoughtful and well worth a visit.

  • I dearly wish I could get to the Linda McCartney: Retrospective in Ballarat as part of the Ballarat International Foto Biennale. I guess I have got until 9 January 2022 to work on a planned foray over the border.

  • Saw the Linda McCartney show last weekend. She has always been one of our most loved photographers and over our years in tertiary photo education, many students have been exposed to her work but also to the person that she was.
Thank you so much for your insightful review of the show.
