Editor
In 2001 Peter Rose became the Editor of ABR. Prior to this he was a publisher at Oxford University Press throughout the 1990s. His reviews and essays appear in various publications. He has published several books of poetry, a family memoir, Rose Boys, and a novel, A Case of Knives. He edited the 2007 and 2008 editions of The Best Australian Poems (Black Inc.). Peter Rose's long experience in publishing and the literary world complement the magazine's history of central involvement in Australian letters.
Assistant Editor
Mark Gomes joined ABR as the APA Editorial Intern in May 2009. He is a former editor of University of Queensland’s student newspaper Semper Floreat, holds a Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing from RMIT University and has written for publications including Australian Art Collector and Brisbane’s Courier-Mail.

Junior Editor
Amy Baillieu joined ABR as a Volunteer in August 2005. She is currently completing her Masters of Publishing and Communications at the University of Melbourne and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the same university with majors in English Literature and French. She also attended the Sorbonne in Paris, where she completed a Cours de Langue et Civilisation Français in 2007.
Office Manager
Before joining ABR, Gail Southwell co-directed a design and education company for twelve years. Prior to this she worked as a teacher and librarian and Literacy and Communication tutor for the TAFE and Adult Education sector. She is interested in writing fiction and has studied contemporary art.
